This day marks the conclusion of the three-month Rains Retreat (Vassa).
Also known as “Wan Pavarana,” it is an occasion that allows
Buddhist monks to offer constructive criticism or admonitions to one another
regarding any faults or transgressions that may have occurred while living together during the retreat.
